1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing courses.sacwan.org or registering for any program offered by Courses at Sacred Wandering ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not register for or access our programs.

2. Eligibility

Our programs are intended for licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals, clergy, and other adult healing professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to register. Where a program requires a specific professional credential, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of any credential information you provide.

3. Nature of Our Programs

Our programs provide continuing education content and are not a substitute for professional supervision, legal advice, or your own independent verification of your licensing board's requirements.
Continuing education hour and credit acceptance varies by state, licensing board, and profession. It is your sole responsibility to confirm with your own licensing or certifying body whether a given program, and the format in which it is delivered, will be accepted toward your specific renewal or certification requirements before you rely on it for that purpose.
Where a program has been submitted for or granted NBCC Approved only as stated for that specific program and does not extend to programs not so designated.
Nothing in our programs constitutes clinical, legal, or financial advice specific to your practice, and completion of a program does not certify competence to perform any specific clinical, billing, or administrative task without your own independent professional judgment.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate registration information and to update it as needed.

5. Payment and Refunds

Fees for each program are stated at the time of registration and are due at enrollment unless otherwise stated. All program fees are non-refundable once you have been granted access to program content, except where we cancel or discontinue a program before you complete it. Full details are set out in our Fees, Refunds, and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Intellectual Property and Restrictions on Use

All program content — including lesson materials, downloadable resources, templates, assessment items, video and audio content, and any other materials made available to you — is the property of Courses at Sacred Wandering, Sacred Wandering, or their licensors, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your registration grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use program content for your own individual professional education.

You agree that you will NOT:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, transmit, sell, or otherwise share any program content, in whole or in part, with any person who has not independently registered and paid for the applicable program
Download, screenshot, print, or otherwise duplicate program materials for any purpose other than your own personal reference in connection with your registration
Allow any other individual to access or use program content through your account or credentials
Use any automated means (scraping, bots, or similar tools) to extract program content
Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notice, watermark, or attribution included in program materials

Violation of this section is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of your access without refund, in addition to any other legal remedies available to us, including claims for copyright infringement.

7. Accessibility

We are committed to making our programs accessible to participants with disabilities. See our ADA Compliance Statement for information on requesting accommodations.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our programs and website are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that program content is error-free, that our website or learning management system will be uninterrupted or secure, or that any program will satisfy your specific licensing, certification, or continuing education requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courses at Sacred Wandering and Sacred Wandering shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of licensure, certification, or continuing education credit, arising out of or related to your use of our programs or website. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the program giving rise to the claim.

10. Complaints and Disputes

Complaints regarding a program, instructor, or administrative matter should be submitted under our Grievance and Complaint Policy. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally before either party pursues formal legal action.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or programs after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
